Flowers

At Paris Photo 2024, Flowers Gallery will exhibit the work of Gabby Laurent, Lisa Jahovic, Esther Teichmann, Boomoon and Edward Burtynsky. The practices of Lisa, Gabby and Esther are connected by themes of domesticity and the mundane. Using everyday objects and found materials, their work evokes dialogues surrounding feelings of danger, privacy and desire which ultimately is seeking out the nature of existence. Following Edward Burtynsky’s successful retrospective Extraction/Abstraction at Saatchi gallery this year, we propose to exhibit Cerro Prieto Geothermal Station #2, Sonora, Mexico, 2012 and a newly released image of the Thjorsá River #3 in the Southern Region of Iceland. Also on show will be an example from Nadav Kander's Colour Fields project, previously seen at the The Edge of Things exhibition in Vichy, France this year.
