Specializing in contemporary art, Galería Juan Silió is located in Santander and, since 2020, also in Madrid. The gallery is committed to presenting exhibitions that showcase the talent of the artists it represents, as well as new proposals and curated group exhibitions. As a second-generation gallery, it has supported artists at various stages of their careers, recognizing the importance of strengthening this relationship, especially during the mid-career period. This is a key moment when emerging artists need to take a step forward and establish themselves in the art scene. The gallery currently stands out for representing a strong generation of Spanish artists born in the late 1970s and 1980s, such as Núria Fuster, Carlos Irijalba, Miguel Ángel Tornero, Juan López, Belén Rodríguez, Irene Grau, and Nora Aurrekoetxea. The gallery's goal is to work towards helping these artists establish themselves by placing their works in prominent public and private collections, while also serving as a link between their practice and curators, critics, and the general public. These artists already have international experience, built through their education, residencies, and regular exhibitions in other countries; the gallery seeks to support this development and evolve together by participating in relevant international art fairs. However, as we firmly believe in the idea of full representation and support throughout an artist’s career, we continue to work with artists who have been part of the gallery for 30 years, and we support young artists whom we believe will lead their generation.
