Ncontemporary was founded by Emanuele Norsa in 2014 in London; the gallery now runs its program in Milan and Venice under the direction of co-owners Federica Barletta and Emanuele Norsa. Ncontemporary collaborates with collectors, curators and public institutions, with the main objective to support emerging and mid-career artists interested in pushing the boundaries of their respective practices. From 2014 until the end of 2016 Ncontemporary’s main exhibition space was located in a former garage space in Knightsbridge, London. In early 2017 the gallery relocated to Milan where it opened its first exhibition space in Via Malaga. In January 2019 Ncontemporary inaugurated its new venue in Milan, in Via Lulli 5, where it currently hosts five shows each year and a series of site-specific installations created for its project room and outdoor space. In April 2024 Ncontemporary launched a new permanent gallery space in Venice, on the island of Giudecca. Ncontemporary participates to international art fairs such as Miart and Paris Photo.
